Claudia Minniti is actually Associate Professor (PA) at the University of Salento (Lecce-Italy), Department of Cultural Heritage (Beni Culturali). She has been a staff member of the University of Sheffield (UK) as a Marie Curie Fellow, a project funded by the EU. Her research interests include the study of the animal remains from archaeological sites dating from the Neolithic to the Middle Ages, with the integration of various disciplines (e.g. history, ethnography, zoology, and ethology). She is currently involved in numerous Italian and International archaeological excavations. Her work results in more than 100 papers in national and international journals, conference proceedings and books.
